JUDITH TAYLORWHAT BOOKS PRESS TITLES
Sex Libris JUDITH TAYLOR is the author of two previous books of poetry, Curios (Sarabande Books) and Selected Dreams from the Animal Kingdom (Zoo Press) and the chapbook, Burning (Portlandia Press). She is the co-editor of the anthology Air Fare: Stories, Essays and Poems on Flight (Sarabande Books). Her poems have appeared in journals including Poetry, American Poetry Review, Boston Review, Antioch Review, Columbia Poetry Review, Court Green, Pleiades, Volt, Conduit, Prairie Schooner, and Field as well as in anthologies such as Stand Up Poetry, (University of Iowa Press), Ravishing DisUnities (Wesleyan University Press), and Chance of a Ghost (Helicon Nine Editions).
Taylor has been awarded fellowships from the Djerrasi Foundation, the MacDowell Colony, the Ucross Foundation, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Yaddo, and she has received a Pushcart Prize. Born in Chicago, Judith Taylor attended Sarah Lawrence College, the University of Chicago, and received her Ph.D. in English from the University of California at Berkeley. She has taught at St. Joseph’s College, San Diego State University, and Dominguez Hills University. She was on the faculty of the UCLA Writers Program for many years and currently teaches private classes.
