KAREN KEVORKIANWHAT BOOKS PRESS TITLES
Lizard Dream KAREN KEVORKIAN recently published two poetry collections, Lizard Dream (What Books Press) and White Stucco Black Wing (Red Hen Press, 2004). Her poetry and fiction have appeared in many journals including Fiction International, Poetry International, Quarterly West, Witness, Volt, Shenandoah, Massachusetts Review, Antioch Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Los Angeles Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and the Mississippi Review, as well as the online journals Agni, Able Muse, Archipelago, and Drunken Boat.
Born in San Antonio and educated at the universities of Texas, Virginia, and Utah, Karen now teaches creative writing in the English department at UCLA and before that in the creative writing program at the University of Virginia. Before she began teaching she edited and directed the production of exhibition catalogues for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
