One of our poets, David Quiroz, has been given an
Honorable Mention at the 2025 International Latino
Book Awards, the largest Latino literary awards in
the United States, for his book Dreamer Paradise,
published by What Books Press in 2024.The awards
have been sponsored by Empowering Latino Futures
since 1998. The awards ceremony, where David
will receive his honorable mention for the
Juan Felipe Herrera Poetry Award, will take place
on October 25, 2025, at MiraCosta College in
Oceanside, California.
